Anxiety Disorders

To feel anxious at times is expected in life. This may happen when faced with problems at work, before taking a test, or before making important decisions. But anxiety disorders involve more than temporary worry or fear. For people with anxiety disorders, the anxiety does not disappear and gets worse over time. These symptoms interfere with their daily activities and their relationships.

There are several types of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, OCD, and various phobia-related disorders.

Addictions

Addictions come in a variety of forms. They are characterized by chronic dysfunction involving reward, motivation, and memory. It’s the way the body obsessively craves a substance or behavior in the pursuit of reward, at times without concern over the consequences.

People experiencing an addiction are often:

  • unable to stay away from the substance or        stop the addictive behavior
  • lacking self-control
  • having increased needs for the for the                   substance or behavior
  • unable to admit that their behavior is                   causing problems

People suffering from addiction are also prone to relapses and remissions. They cycle between intense and mild use, but addictions tend to become more severe over time.

"Most people walk through the world in a trance of disempowerment. Our work is to transform that into a trance of empowerment."

Milton H. Erickson – famous Psychiatrist and Hypnotherapist

What is hypnotherapy and why does it work?

Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis, a state of focused attention and increased suggestibility, for therapeutic purposes.

Hypnosis or trance is a natural state, also known as REM (rapid eye movement), a dream state that normally occurs when asleep, but also occurs spontaneously when awake. It is our natural learning or programming /reprogramming state, and therefore the best choice for making changes in behaviors, thoughts and feelings.
